HI-USA: A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
The Los Angeles Council of Hostelling International USA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established for educational and charitable purposes. The Los Angeles Council of HI-USA is responsible for the development of HI-USA hostels in Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Kern, San Bernardino, and northern Orange Counties.
Our Mission:
"To help all, especially the young, gain a greater understanding of the world and its people through hostelling."
Our Vision:
"That hostellers become caring world citizens who are catalysts for intercultural exchanges and understanding, and who are stewards of the earth."

Now Accepting Applications for the Annual HI-Travel Grant
- The Los Angeles Council of Hostelling International USA presents an annual Travel Grant in the amount of $1,000 to an individual who is just beginning his or her travel experiences in life. If you are between the ages of 17 and 26, and live within the greater Los Angeles area, HI-USA can help make your travel dreams come true!
- Applications are due by March 15, 2012

LA Marathon Announces "Charity 2-Person Marathon"
- Grab a friend, family member, or co-worker and take on the Honda LA Marathon together as you raise money for HI-USA.
- The Honda LA Marathon is pleased to announce its newest event: the Charity 2-Person Marathon. 26.2 miles doesn’t have to look so daunting anymore! With the new Charity 2-person marathon, you and a teammate join forces to complete a combined distance of 26.2 miles. Registration is only available through one of the Official Charities.
