Donate and Win!
Win Two EURAIL Passes, a DIRECTV Package, or Other Great Prizes
HI-USA fundraises with a pledge drive that rewards participants with a chance to win great prizes through an Opportunity Drawing. Our 2009 goal is to raise $10,000 to support Los Angeles Council of HI-USA Educational Programs. All donations are tax-deductible!

Rail Europe has donated two First Class 15-day Eurail Flexipasses as the Grand Prize for the drawing (a $2100 value)...an amazing prize for someone planning a trip to Europe on a budget. DIRECTV has donated a great programming package, and we are also busy collecting other great prizes for the drawing and will update the list as prizes are added.  For more details, see our website.

Support HI-USA Educational Programs
The Los Angeles Council of HI-USA is one of the "Official Charities" of the 2009 LA Marathon. The Marathon is a fantastic opportunity to participate in one of our city's best annual events, while helping out a great cause!

The money raised by our runners, walkers, bikers, and pledge gatherers helps us to conduct educational programs such as our Cultural Kitchen and Discover Your World programs, work with the  LAUSD on Marine Science and Water Science programs, and offer our World Travel 101 seminars.

Volunteer for HI-USA
The Los Angeles Council of HI-USA is looking for volunteers to help cheer on our runners and other athletes on the day of the Marathon from 8:30 am to 1 pm.  The first 100 volunteers to sign in at our site on the race course will receive LA Marathon T-shirts.  There will be additional opportunities to win great prizes in a special volunteers' drawing.

Run, Bike, or Walk: Marathon or 5K
-Get Your Registration Fee Reimbursed-
We are also looking for participants for the LA Marathon, Bike Tour, or 5K events to help reach our goal of $10,000 to support our educational outreach programs.

To encourage participation in the LA Marathon events, HI-USA is offering to reimburse our athletes up to the full cost of their registration fee.  Event participants who collect pledges for the Opportunity Drawing (drawing held at our Members Meeting on June 7) can have up to 100% of their fee reimbursed, and will be eligible to participate in the drawing for some great prizes.

Make pledges and donations on our website!
